Leaf Spring Forming Machine Introduction
1. Overview
The leaf spring forming machine is specialized equipment used in the manufacturing of leaf springs (steel leaf springs) for automobile, engineering machinery, and railway vehicle suspension systems. Its primary function is to perform the bending, forming, quenching, and tempering pretreatment of leaf springs in an automated manner, ensuring good elasticity, strength, and consistency in the final product. With the continuous development of the automotive and machinery manufacturing industries, leaf spring forming equipment is evolving toward higher efficiency, greater precision, and a higher degree of automation.
2. Working Principle
The leaf spring forming machine uses a hydraulic or servo drive system to actuate the mold, shaping hot or cold steel plates. The steel plate is first heated to a specific temperature (typically around 850°C) in a heating furnace, then fed into the forming machine. A preset mold is used to perform multi-stage bending, forming a leaf spring that meets the required curvature radius and dimensional specifications.
The equipment is equipped with a CNC system, which can automatically adjust forming parameters such as bending angle, pressure, and pitch according to different leaf spring specifications, significantly improving product consistency and production efficiency.
